How many times do we put off following our dreams with the excuse that we don't have enough time or money to try to achieve them?
Too many, I think.
The reality is that we will never have enough money to follow our dreams, I would venture to say. Even if a significant sum is saved, we end up having to change car tires, invest in a house, need a new closet, or something else, more or less urgent. A series of excuses, probably, that our fear creates to put off venturing into something new, unsafe. Uncertain.
This piggy bank comes as an ironic reminder of the thousand excuses we come up with to follow a more conventional life instead of following our dreams. They can keep money there and eventually break it. Or they may have it as this reminder that there is no money in the world that buys our happiness or our lifespan. Better to invest post-work time and focus on our dreams.
A conventional job pays the bills. Free time pays for our happiness and healing. Until the day when everything changes.
